Rev. Edward F. Delgado, President

Edward Delgado, President of the Hispanic Center for Theological Studies better known as CHET. 

 

Edward Delgado most recently served as the director of evangelism and prayer for the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). The position serves in the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism.

 

Delgado, prior to leaving Church Growth and Evangelism served as the CHET  dean and vice-president, a North Park University and Theological Seminary subsidiary. CHET is a theological and pastoral training center for Hispanic church leaders, pastors and lay leaders founded in 1989.

 

Prior to serving at CHET, he was a director with Compassion International, an evangelical interdenominational child development organization where he successively served as director of South America, then Africa, and finally Central America, Mexico and Caribbean.

Delgado holds degrees from the University of Arizona, Thunderbird American Graduate School of International Management, and Fuller Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Lynda, also a Fuller graduate, have three grown children, Sergio, Rita, and Libby and three grandchildren, Samantha, Edward and Vayda Marie.
